Will Covid-19 affect my order?

Unfortunately, Covid-19 has unexpected affects of our company. We have been experiencing some delays in our shipping. We are working tirelessly every day to ensure everything runs smoothly and as expected. Please expect delays to your order and kindly understand that much of this is beyond our control. We are here with you every step of the way! 

My order is taking longer than expected, can I cancel my order? 

Orders that are processing cannot be canceled.


Do you have same day pickup?

Bundles are available for pickup in Prince George’s County, MD. Please text your order to (202) 400-0941 and it will be confirmed and scheduled. You cannot order/pay online. Payments will be taken at the time of Pick Up.

I would like to pickup my bundle order. How does it work?

We no longer allow pick up of online orders. All online orders are shipped with tracking to protect both you as the customer and Laced by Layy as the sender.

What bundles are available for pickup?

We keep Brazilian straight, body wave, and deep wave in stock at our pickup location. Any other textures are custom made and only ready once the customer is notified. 

I ordered the Colombiana Curl, how long will it take to receive the hair?

The Colombiana Curl is a custom curl that is handmade in our factory so it has a longer processing time of 10-14 business days. We know this is extremely long, but we thank you for your patience! We ensure that you will LOVE your hair once it’s received. It’s definitely worth the wait 💕

How long does it take for a wig to ship out?


Units are shipped out within 3-4 weeks of purchase. Please contact us about rush orders. You will receive an email with your tracking information after your order has been shipped.


What is the turnaround time for bundle orders?


Hair orders are shipped out 5-10 business days of purchase. You will receive an email with your tracking information after your order has been shipped.


What is the turnaround time for lash orders?


Lash orders are shipped out within 3 days of purchase.


There’s a problem with my delivery, what should I do?


Please contact your local UPS/ USPS with your tracking number to get help. Ask to speak with the supervisor for more information on the location of your package. If you still experience issues, please call UPS customer servers at 1 1 (800) 742-5877 USPS customer service at 1 (800) 275-8777. Laced By Layy is not responsible for any misplaced packages and cannot see any more information about your package than you can online.


Do you offer international shipping?


Yes! We ship worldwide. There is a duty tax that has to be paid upon pickup of your package that Laced By Layy is not responsible for. Please contact your local post office with questions or concerns about this.


How are the wigs secured on? Do I need glue to wear them?


All of our custom units are made to your exact head measurements, proving a perfectly secure fit for everyone. Our pre-made units are made on a Medium cap size, which is fitted for the “average” sized head. We can accommodate anyone per special request. Our lace closure units are made on a breathable, fitted cap. Our frontal units are made on a secure, adjustable cap with an elastic band added to hold the lace in place as well as a comb in the back. No glue is necessary for any of our units.




I have no hair, can I still wear a wig?


Yes, you can still wear our units! We recommend wearing a wig cap to help secure the unit in place.


How should I wear my hair under the wig?


To ensure the most flat and natural unit application, your hair should be cornrowed. "Straight backs" work lovely! For lace closure units, we recommend parting your hair where you would like the part on the closure to lay and down from there. For frontal units, small straight back cornrows with the ends sewn up and flat are recommended.


Do you offer rush shipping?


We offer rush shipping on bundle orders placed before 5pm PST MON-FRI. Rush shipping allows you to skip the processing time and get your hair in 3-4 days. Please contact us first for this option by texting (202) 400-00941 with your order number expressing your desire for express shipping. 


 

Can I pick my order up in person?


Yes, only if you live in the DMV! We have a pickup location, not a store, in Clinton, MD. Please text (202)400-0941 with your order so that we can prepare it for you! Do not place the order online.


How long do the units last?


With proper care, our lace closure units can last 6 months to a year, our 360 lace frontal units last 6-12 months and our lace closure units can last a year or longer! Proper care entails minimum heat use, weekly wash/conditioning, no rough handling, and minimum sleeping in the unit.


What products do you recommend to wash the units?


We recommend Suave Professionals Moroccan Infusion Shine Shampoo & Conditioner.  


Can the units be worn in the water?

Yes! We highly recommend washing and deep conditioning the unit after exposure to chlorine or beach water.

 

Do the units come with a customized hairline?

All of the 360 lace frontal units include a fully customized hairline.

Can I sew the wig down?

Yes!, All of our wigs can be easily sewn down.
